The story of Medieval Solutions begins in a dark place... (Finland in November)

Originally, it was meant to be a simplified version of Dungeons & Dragons, designed to coax my partner's family into storytelling without the terrifying wall of rules and overly-complex English. I meticulously crafted a world of digestible rules and easy language, perfectly catered for the needs of the party. 

]What could go wrong?

My carefully constructed system crumbled faster than a poorly built trebuchet. Instead of following my lovingly crafted plot, the party members spent hours arguing over whether doors could eat, what accents rats have, and how loud cats dig. Not a single dice was rolled. 

It was horrifying... yet hilarious.

This was the real game I had made for the party of shouters. Forget carefully crafted narratives and balanced mechanics - the real magic was in the chaotic creativity, the ridiculous arguments and the awful characters arguing over who knows best. 

Then, "Medieval Solutions" was slapped on to a table for the first time – a card game that embraces our worst instincts and rewards the art of confidently selling the worst ideas.

Medieval Solutions isn't just about solving problems with leeches and cannibalism (though, let's be honest, that's a big part of it). 

It's about fostering genuine connection through shared laughter, sparking creative problem-solving, and giving everyone a chance to shine as the most persuasive (and ridiculous) voice in the room. And we believe everyone should be able to join in the fun.
